Our super-resolution microscope has been up and running. Lasers: 532nm and 405nm (other colors are on the way).

Two samples were tested for super-resolution imaging:

  1. E. coli bacteria expressing H-NS proteins fused to mEoS3.2 (the strain was a gift from Dr. William Navarre and Dr. Joshua Milstein at the University of Toronto).
  2. E. coli bacteria expressing mEos3.2 only (from Addgene; the strain was a gift from Dr. Michael Davidson).

The same setup is also good for single-molecule experiments (FIONA, smFRET, etc).
